It was announced today that Miranda Lambert would be headlining the 2010 CMT on Tour fall concert tour. Last year the tour featured the double bill of Randy Houser and Jamey Johnson. Joining Miranda for CMT on Tour will be Eric Church and the set of concert dates will also showcase Josh Kelley, the older brother of Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley, to a country music audience for the first time. Kelley previously released a pair of acoustic pop albums on Hollywood Records before releasing quite a few albums on his own label before signing with MCA Records Nashville last fall. His debut country single “Georgia Clay” is set to be released in August.
In addition o the Houser and Johnson tour last year the CMT Tours have featured Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Sugarland and Keith Urban.
“Having that Texas club circuit experience at an early age and also touring with some of the best in the business for several years, I know what it takes to bring it every night and give fans more than their money’s worth,” says Lambert. “The CMT Tour is a great way for me to thank fans for their support this year and show them I can live up to the honors.” Church added, “I'm very excited to be on what I believe will be one of the best tours going out this fall. I've been on a lot of tours and this one is gonna be the heat! I love what Miranda does and we are gonna take the stage every night locked and cocked. The crowd better be ready for it, ‘cause we are!”
