Lady Antebellum - "Our Kind Of Love"

With Need You Now making the trio a household name in the pop world, they followed that single up with "American Honey" and proceeded to see it top the charts as well.  Will "Our Kind of Love" find similar country and pop success?

After the amazing success of “Need You Now” on country radio (where it spent a month at #1) and on the pop charts (#3), Lady Antebellum kept the country audience interested with “American Honey.”  After that song, too, hit #1 and ACM Award wins for “Need You Now” and Group of the Year award wins, Lady Antebellum is returning to the charts with “Our Kind Of Love.”  Written by Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood, Hillary Scott and Busbee “Our Kind of Love” recalls both the trio’s debut album’s hits (like “Love Don’t Live Here” and “Lookin’ For A Good Time”) and the other more textured stuff found on the double platinum Need You Now, the single features an interesting sonic soundscape and finds Charles Kelley getting his first ‘lead’ of the singles from this album and like moody title tune, this one comes off as a true duet.

The lyrics discuss the kind of relationship a couple has as they go through life, they keep it fresh and fun and don’t take themselves too seriously. Honestly, that’s how love should be.  There will be ups and downs but if you try to keep the relationship interesting, fun and don’t take everything like it’s the end of the world then you’re likely gonna have a long relationship together.

Lady Antebellum have become superstars on the basis of their appealing blend of male-female vocals, pop/rock melodies and strong songs that stick with you.  “Our Kind of Love” is but the latest in what may very well be a long line and years of success for the trio.
