It was learned this afternoon that platinum recording artist Mindy McCready has been hospitalized in Cape Coral, Florida. Her attorney confirmed the news story of her hospitalization but wouldn't discuss any of the TMZ reports about a relapse due to the narcotic pain reliever Devocet.
The TMZ report said that the 34 year-old McCready, who released I'm Still Here after a stint in the VH1 show Celebrity Rehab, "OD'd after getting four Devocet pills from her mother" to help her manage pain from a broken toe sustained a couple of days ago.
The true reps for Mindy McCready, Music City News Media released a statement that said "We have no information or confirmation of the official medical diagonisis at this time." They also stated "It should be noted that Brent Young is not representative of Music City News Media, nor is he employed by the Mindy McCready organization."
