First Round of 2010 CMT Music Awards Nominees Announced

The first round of nominees for the 2010 CMT Music Video Awards were announced this morning and starting today fans can vote for their favorites in a multitude of categories.  Click read more to find out who is nominated and who lead the pack.

The first round of CMT’s 2010 CMT Music Video Awards were announced today.  Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean and Sugarland lead the pack of nominees with four each while Brooks & Dunn, the Zac Brown Band, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift each garnered three nominations. Fans can vote, beginning today and voting ends Monday, May 3, 2010.  Tuesday May 11, 2010 we will learn who the four finalists for each category are EXCEPT the Video of the Year category which will not be announced until the beginning of the CMT Music Awards show on June 9.  For the final categories fans will have May 11-June 8, 2010 to vote while fans can vote online via CMT.com and text message throughout the East Coast/Central Time broadcast to determine the winner of the Video of the Year on June 9, 2010.

VIDEO OF THE YEAR
Best video of the year; awarded to the artist (male, female, group/duo or collaboration) and the video director.  Final nominees announced during live telecast, with final voting held online at CMT.com during the show.
