In an unexpected move, Trace Adkins has left his only label home, Capitol Records Nashville, for Toby Keith and Mark Wright's Show Dog-Universal Records today.  The singer, who had just released "Ala-Freakin-Bama" to radio with Capitol, has a hit on the charts with Blake Shelton called "Hillbilly Bone."  The move from Capitol to Show Dog-Univesal seems like a natural fit for the star as he joins Toby Keith, Phil Vassar, Joe Nichols and Randy Houser as the top draws for the newly merged label.  Look for a new single and album later this year.

What do you think? Do you think Trace will regain a string of Top 10 hits with this move?
