Gretchen Wilson - Greatest Hits

While her run as a chart-toppin' artist was about four years, Gretchen Wilson managed to strike a chord with hardworkin' women everywhere with her very first hit "Redneck Woman."  Here's her first collection of hits.

Other standouts on this lean collection include the title tracks to the One of the Boys and All Jacked Up albums and a pair of songs that feature guest vocalists.  “Come To Bed,” written with Gretchen’s Muzik Mafia friend and producer John Rich and “Politically Uncorrect,” which features legend Merle Haggard.  The collection closes with a live rendition of Heart’s “Barracuda,” a song which got tied to Sara Palin during the 2008 campaign trail.   While most fans likely have all but the latter song in their collection, if you’ve been curious about Gretchen Wilson but weren’t ever able to fork down the money to buy the complete albums, this Greatest Hits Collection is the right one to buy and within a few years, if physical product remains, it likely will be the only Gretchen Wilson product available to buy from her brief time as one of the women in country music (unless her own self-issued stuff somehow finds radio airplay).

Note: This album was released to fulfil Gretchen's contract agreement with Sony Nashville.
