Country music star Brad Paisley has co-owned a music publishing company since before he was even signed to Arista Nashville. Partnering with songwriting buddies Chris Dubois and Frank Rogers, the trio have become one of Nashville’s most successful newer publishing companies and they’re now ready to take on the world with Sea Gayle Records, which is opening up as an imprint of Sony Music Nashville. Jerrod Niemann, a Sea Gayle songwriter with hit songs written for people like Garth Brooks, is the imprints first artist. If the name sounds familiar it’s because Jerrod was previously was signed to Category 5 Records before it fell-under, having released a single called “I Love Women (My Mama Can’t Stand).”
Look for the first single “One More Drinkin’ Song” (Listen here)to make its proper radio station rounds soon. Frank Rogers and Dubois will handle day-to-day label operations from their Sea Gayle offices while Sony Nashville will handle promotion and marketing.
