George Strait announced today that he would be taking Lee Ann Womack out on his tour with Reba McEntire in 2010. Womack, who has recorded duets with Strait in the past, shares the same manager as George Strait and has toured with the superstar before. The concert series, which starts in early 2010, will run through April.
“'Does Ft Worth Ever Cross Your Mind'? 'Whoever's In New England'? 'The Fireman'? 'Little Rock'? 'Wrapped'? 'The Last To Know'? We're talking classic country from the source,” praises Womack. “I can't imagine a better tour to be on than George Strait and Reba McEntire --- and now I'm not imagining!”
Womack then quipped, “I'm trying to figure out what to wear...cause you can't out-starch George and you sure can't out-spangle Reba!”
Womack, who is working on her follow-up album to last year's critically acclaimed Call Me Crazy, has just released a new single called "There Is A God." She was recently nominated with Geroge Strait for the CMA Vocal Event of the Year for "Everything But Quits," a song from Call Me Crazy.
