With Jewel and Nancy O'Dell (who hosted the first two seasons of Nashville Star) reduced to spectators on Dancing With The Stars, country's newest couple Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks made history on the 8th season opener as they became the first true couple to dance together on the popular ABC television series.  Dancing a waltz number, the Judges praised Hough while saying that Wicks needed to relax. Here's what they had to say:

Bruno Tonioli: "Chuck, she's a bit of a handful isn't she? She's going to show you tonight. No respite. Looking good at times, but at times I felt like you were chasing her. It was like chasing a whirlwind. How am I going to keep up with her? Then I thought you were going to strangle her. You have to calm down because I think you have everything that it takes. The first time, it's hard. But it's like I'm going to get a heart attack. It is a waltz! Easy, easy." Score: 7.

Len Goodman: "It was a bit hectic here and there. But what I liked, you had good footwork and you moved well around the floor. Your posture is a little bit bizarre, so you have to work on that. You have to work on refining your dancing." Score: 7.

Carrie Ann Inaba: "Well, I think you might be one of the most graceful men that we've had on our show in a long time. However, do not lift, please. Your foot came off ground. In order to do that move properly, you just have to keep your foot on the ground. You know that. But you have a lot of potential. Your chemistry is great, you look stunning together and you work well together. Keep your foot on the ground, please." Score: 6.

In the end, Wicks and Hough scored 20 points from the Judges and given Hough's standing as a two-time champion, she and her beau Wicks should have no problem dancing on the show for many weeks to come.  Other stars dancing include Rapper Lil' Kim and Go-Go's star singer Belinda Carlisle, newly sober "Jackass" Steve-O, football legend Lawrence Taylor, Apple co-founder and Kathy Griffin ex-boyfriend Steve Wozniak, gymnast Shawn Johnson, comedian David Alan Grier, rodeo rider and Jewel husband Ty Murray, "Sex and the City" star and first round leader Gilles Marini, and the two people who are replacing Jewel and Nancy O'Dell: Holly Madison, a former Playboy Playmate and Hugh Hefner girlfriend and The Bachelor reject Melissa Rycoft.
