When this trio released a single earlier this year to country radio, I was a little surprised. While they've been hugely successful in the
Christian music sector with 26 #1 singles there, I never really thought the song would be a hit. It wasn't (for country radio). Imagine, then, my surprise when I see their latest song, "I Wish" has been released to country radio. Produced by Nathan Chapman, the single isn't that bad sounding and it sounds like a lot of other songs on the radio. The lyrics also fit the definition of the country radio demographic and the hook in the chorus is immediate and somewhat memorable. This song can be a hit and may just be this winter/holiday season, but the laundry-list lyrics do get tiresome upon repeated listening.
