Heidi Newfield - Cry Cry ('Til The Sun Shines)

Heidi Newfield's debut solo single, "Johnny & June," was a Top 10 hit, making her the first female artist to place their debut single that high since Taylor Swift in 2005.   "Cry Cry ('Til The Sun Shines)" is Heidi's follow-up single. Will it succeed or fail?

Martina McBride had originally recorded "Cry Cry ('Til The Sun Shines)" but it makes perfect sense for Heidi Newfield to follow-up her Top 10 debut "Johnny & June" with this happy-go-lucky song.  Written by Chris Lindsey, Aimee Mayo, Hillary Lindsey and Marv Green, the song speaks to a lot of troubled hearts and minds in the current economy.  It's a song that gives us all hope.  It's a song for the eternal optimist because, after all, it will get better.  Life can break you down but it always has a way of working itself out. Another thing that the song has going for it is that it gives radio some much-needed 'tempo' during a time of the year when there are a sea of ballads playing at country radio.
