The list of nominees for the 41st annual CMA Awards was released and there were few surprises.  Kenny Chesney leads the nominees with 7 nominations including top noms for entertainer, male vocalist and album of the year.  Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles was next with her six nominees (one as a songwriter for "Stay" and the rest with Kristian Bush in Sugarland). The duo also recieved top category nominations for Entertainer of the Year and Duo of the Year.  The only real surprises in the whole list of nominees is the inclusion of James Otto in "New Artist of the Year" (a.k.a the Horizon Award), the broken-up The Wreckers in the duo category and Alison Krauss' nomination for Female Vocalist.
