Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues
Written by Danny O'Keefe
Performed by Dwight Yoakum on "Under the Covers" CD

Personally I like the original version better than Dwight's version. The
chords, however, are from the Dwight CD. I do not know what key it was
done originally. It sounds great if you develop a picking pattern for the
chords since it is a relatively slow song. Here is an the picking patter I
use.

* = 1 beat in 4/4 time. Each space is a 1/16 note. Tempo is about 70 - 80
beats per minute.
G
* * * *
e-----------------|
B-----0-----------|
G-----0-----------| Repeat 1X
D-------0h2-0----0|
A----2--------0h2-|
E-3---------------|

C
* * * *
e------------------|
B-----0------------|
G-----0-0h2-0-----0| Repeat 1X
D---2----------0h2-|
A-3----------------|
E------------------|

D

e-----2--0--------|
B-----3-3---3---3-|
G---2----------2--| Repeat 1X
D-0-----------0---|
