People [G] steal they [C] cheat and [G] lie
For wealth and what it will buy
But don't they [C] know on the judgment [G] day
That Gold and [D] Silver will melt a [G] way.
I'd rather be in a deep dark grave
And to know that my poor soul was saved
Than to live in this world in a house of Gold
And deny my God and doom my soul.
What good is Gold and Silver too
If your heart's not pure and true
Sinner hear me when I say
Fall down on your knees and pray.
My Jesus died on calvary ,
he paid the cost that was charged to me
But if silver and gold I never own
Thank God one day I?ll have a golden home
