Subject: Blue Shadows On The Trail

I saw a request some time back for the chords to 'Blue Shadows on the
Trail'. I took the time yesterday to transcribe them from a recording of
Roy Rogers (perhaps when he was still Leonard Sly!) and the Sons of the
Pioneers. I transcribed the chords in the key in which they recorded it,
the key of E. I can't find it anywhere on your site. I Hope this is
useful. It is a BEAUTIFUL song!

BLUE SHADOWS ON THE TRAIL by Eliot Daniel & Johnny Lange

[E] Shades of night are [F# minor] falling
As the [E] wind be- [G# minor] gins to [F# minor] sigh [B7]
And the [E] world's silhou- [F# minor] etted a- [B7] gainst the [E] sky.

Blue Shadows [A] on the [E] Trail
[A6] Blue [D] moon [B7] shinin' [A] through the [E] trees.
And a [E] plain--tiff [E7] wail--- from the [A] distance
Comes a [E] driftin' on the [B7] evening [E] breeze.

Move a- [A] long, Blue Shadows, move a- [E] long [D#] [E]
Soon the dawn will [B minor]come and [C#7] you'll be on your [F# minor ] way
[F# minor aug] [B7]
[D#]Un- [E] til the [E7] darkness sheds its [A] veil [C#7] [F# minor]
[F minor dim]There'll be [E] Blue [B7] Shadows on the [E]Trail.

Move a- [A] long, Blue Shadows, move a- [E] long [D#] [E]
Soon the dawn will [B minor]come and [C#7] you'll be on your [F# minor ] way
[IF# minor aug] [B7]
[D#]Un- [E] til the [E7] darkness sheds its [A] veil [C#7] [F# minor]

[F] Shadows on the [E] Trail.
