(E) Well I saw old Bill sittin at the bar
With a (A) waitress and change machine
He was (E) dolin out quarters to a waitress names Starr

Then he (A) pointed to the back stage door
He said, (E) we don't like original material

Well I (A) hit the stage like a big wheeled train

And the (B) one about the pearly street
That ((E) lead guitar was like a chain saw that (A) fiddle like a power drill

Well a (A) punch-drunk cowboy showed his wife

Then the (E) whole place stopped to thank me for (A)bookin my show at Bill's
